We are currently in the Building Study

As we study buildings, we will learn concepts and skills in science, social studies, literacy, math, the arts, and technology.  We will also be using thinking skills to investigate, ask questions, solve problems, make predictions, and test our ideas.
 
Here is a list of some of the buildings we will look at, investigate, and discuss:
houses, apartments, castles, huts, office buildings, schools, stores, churches, post offices, supermarkets, libraries, hospitals, museums,
 
Here are some questions we will ask and you can ask at home:
  • What materials were used to build the building?
  • What is the street numbers on the building?
  • How many floors, windows, doors does the  building have?Building Study
  • What color(s) do you see on the building?
  • Is the building tall, short, little, big.
  • What shapes do you see? Rectangle, squares, triangles, circles?
