Principal's Message

Welcome to 28th Street Early Education Center!

Dear Families,

It is with great joy and enthusiasm that I welcome you to 28th Street Early Education Center! We are honored that you have chosen to be part of our school community and to entrust us with your child’s early learning journey.

At 28th Street Early Education Center, we are a fully licensed early childhood program committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where young children can thrive. Our program is built upon a play-based philosophy of learning, recognizing that children learn best through exploration, discovery, creativity, and meaningful interactions. Through purposeful play, hands-on experiences, and guided inquiry, we support the development of the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.

We are proud to share that all of our teachers are fully permitted and/or credentialed through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Their expertise, dedication, and passion for early childhood education ensure that your child receives high-quality instruction grounded in developmentally appropriate practices and current research.

Our work is also aligned with the district’s strategic plan, ensuring that our goals, instruction, and family partnerships reflect a shared commitment to equity, excellence, and student success. We believe that strong partnerships between home and school are essential, and we value open communication and collaboration with our families.

At 28th Street Early Education Center, we celebrate each child’s individuality and are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to learn.

We look forward to a wonderful year of growth, discovery, and joyful learning together. Thank you for being an important part of our community!

Warmly,
Dean Tagawa
